Director's Welcome

Welcome to Little Friends Preschool! I'm Amy Love, and I'm thrilled to serve as the Principal of this wonderful learning community that has been nurturing young minds for over 20 years.

My journey to Little Friends combines over two decades of educational leadership, a deep passion for the arts, and an unwavering commitment to early childhood development. With an MFA in Acting from the University of Florida and currently pursuing my Ed.D. at Florida Southern College, I believe in the power of creative, research-based approaches to learning.

Before joining Little Friends, I spent years in educational solutions and as an educational consultant where I was recognized nationally for helping schools find the right tools and resources for their students. I've also served as Director of Performing Arts and as an Adjunct Professor, experiences that reinforced my belief that every child deserves an education that speaks to their unique way of learning.

What excites me most about Little Friends is our commitment to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, ensuring that every child—from our 6-week-old infants to our VPK graduates—can access learning in a way that works best for them. Through our partnership with Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and our innovative Little Strings program, we're pioneering research into how early musical instruction can support cognitive development and executive function skills.

Our incredible team of 14 dedicated educators works together to create an environment where children don't just prepare for kindergarten—they develop a lifelong love of learning. With a 90% retention rate, our families trust us to provide the nurturing, academically rich environment their children need to thrive.

I'm excited to be part of your child's educational journey and look forward to watching them grow, discover, and shine at Little Friends Preschool.
